In 2010 with the Irish economy seriously compromised, Purple Spade Ltd (mussel cultivation) showed that the aquaculture industry was one where its great promise was still delivering by commissioning an ultra modern compact depuration and dispatch centre.

We were pleased to be awarded the contract to design and install a  compact depuration system which could still handle up to 2 tonnes per cycle.  The actual floor area of the complete system is approximately four sqaure metres allowing all ancillary equipment to be fitted into a building half the size required for traditional systems.

The System consists of  :-

• Delivery pumps
• Depuration bins
• U.V. Sterilizer
• Water Chiller
• Filtration system
• Sump

Approval has been granted by S.F.P.. and the system is expected to operate with minimal maintenance for a considerable number of years.
